In case y'all missed it, I had a Tracy draw battle on 4chan last night.

It was archived, so y'all can go back and read it if you want: [link]

It was a really fun thread, and it's fairly safe for virgin eyes... but not really, cause it's 4chan...

I just finished 'Investment Losses' last night.

Expect it to be up withing the next 24 hours (pr however long it takes for Greg to add music and other finishing touches.)
Enjoy 26 minutes of 'My Little Dashie' commentary and 10 additional minutes of us talking over blurry logo! link here: [link]

'Alicorn Day' commentary coming soon.
Hey thanks for all the OC cameo requests! I've gotten over 100 requests, which is already way more than I'll be able to use, so I'll just cut it off here.

Thanks guys! ;)
Hey guys! I got the audio for the new Aurora short 'Investment Losses', so I'm gong to start working on it soon.

I'm going to need a lot of pegasi to fill Cloudsdale with.

Leave OC cameo requests in the comments below - be sure to include a link to a picture of them. (don't be posting OC creator codes and expect me to include your OC that way - just screen-shot it and post it on imgur.com.... it's not that hard guys...)

They have to be pegasi (no alicorns, mud ponies, or master race ponies)

Also, I may not be able to use everybody's OC, but I'll try to include as many as I can. Just a word of warning tho - if it's too "edgy" looking, I may not use it - i don't want the background characters to be distracting.
O_O OMG yes...

So... I just watched the season 3 finale...

wow... that was awful...
I mean... God awful. It was exactly as bad as I thought it was going to be... and that's not a simple task, cause I had very low expectations.

Anyway... here's our new short: [link]
You guys are killing our server! There's too many of you! Haha it's both annoying and wonderful at the same time!

Greg just finished uploading redirects to the mentally advnaced series on YouTube and now our site is getting bogged down with all the new veiwers. Last time Greg checked our bandwidth use had increased 1,500%

So ya, that's awesome!

The site should stop being so sluggish soon. It'll autimatically adjust the bandwidth eventually, that the initial influx will calm down allowing for the site to work better. Greg and I are considering switching the site to a new server and buying more bandwidth perhaps this week, but we'll see tho.

You probably won't be able to do much with our site so slow at the moment, but you can attempt to watch the eisodes here: [link] - might as well just get on there and bog down our servers some more ;)

Thanks guys for all your support! This copyright hurdle is over for now!

It's always dawn somewhere!

***Update: Monday 9:07pm
our new server is ready now - it's only a matter of time before before the site is switched over. It'll be a few days, and then the site will be fast again.

here's greg explaining things: [link]
We're going to use longtail to host the episodes on our site. Longtail is the same web-host that derby.tv uses - it's a nice player that works across all platforms - smartphones and tablets included. So huzzah!

We'll be getting the episodes up and nicely embedded on our website over the weekend and we'll upload redirects on youtube soon.

For more information, read Greg's tumblr post: [link]

***Update:

Ok, as Greg pointed out below, I technically got the host wrong. WE are our host. The files are uploaded and streamed directly from our website. The Longtail player is simply the codec wee use to stream the content. So ya! That means WE control the content and can't have the videos taken down on a whim.

To see the player yourself, you can watch episode 12 now on our site: [link]
Alright, Greg heard back from blip. Their response is on our website: [link]

Essentially, they said they wont be giving our account back. For those who submitted requests on our behalf, thank y'all for your support, but complaints don't change these policies unfortunately. While our stuff legally falls under 'fair use' laws, Blip has their own interests to look after and they don't have the time to verify everything. Essentially we're guilty until proven innocent, and the burden of proof is on us, the accused, not the accuser. That's just the internet landscape we live in nowadays.

That said, we will certainly find another method of hosting the mentally advanced series on our site; Y'all need not worry. If you find yourself going through withdrawals however and need to watch an episode of the mentally advanced series that is blocked you can download any/all of the episodes from the link posted on our forum here: [link]

be sure to thank DaftMink on the thread for going to the trouble of downloading and hosting the episode files.

So, I've been working on a little animation involving fluttershy that was going to serve as a redirect video for each of the old episodes. Since we currently don't have a host site however, we don't yet have a use for the animation. Since Greg's been doing so much research into copyright law recently, he's thinking of doing a short documentary that would feature the fluttershy animation that would give an overview of internet copyright issues as well as give tips. So be looking forward to that eventually.

I should be starting on the Aurora short some time soon - hopefully by the end of next week!
So ya, in case y'all haven't heard yet, Hasbro is cracking down on abridged videos. Both The Mentally Advanced Series and Friendship is Witchcraft have come under fire. FiW is attempting to move to blip but they were denied an account: [link]

Today, our already created blip account was taken down too. So we can't use blip to host the mentally advanced series on our site atm. I'd ask, if you are willing, please take the time to help us out by submitting arequest form ([link], telling them something akin to "give dawnsomewhere back their account and allow them to post".

Under url you can put our old account page: blip.tv/dawnsomewhere/

and for username you put our name: dawnsomewhere

We'll see if this works. If not, we'll just have to find some other way. Rainbow Dash Presents is fine btw - it's just the Mentally Advanced Series.

Also, while you're at it you might as well help out the FiW guys. Instructions for them are in that first link ;)
Alright, I just want to start off by thanking all of y'all for the awesome and overwhelmingly positive reception of the latest RDP episode. This episode in particular was a labor of love, and one I've been looking forward to making from the very moment I read the fic a little under a year ago.

We have several projects planned for the future.

First, is a short cartoon called 'Investement Losses' about Aurora getting separated from her mother in a supermarket. Trust me the title will make sense when you watch the video. I'm really looking forward to making that one - Aurora is always fun to draw.

Oh course we have more Allen Hours planned (one which I will have to do some art for) and more episodes of the Mentally Advanced Series. Greg is working on Episode 13 now. He started a few weeks ago, but he had to take a break to help finish up 'My Little Dashie' and currently because he's moving to a new place of residence. He'll resume work on that soon enough - probably after the lines for 'Investment Losses' are recorded (but heck, I don't set his schedule, He can do whatever he darn well pleases!!)

And then lastly, what you all really want to hear about... The next Rainbow Dash Presents. The next episode is going to be a parody of 'Bittersweet' [link] - yup, another "sad" one. This is going to be a fun one as it will be prominently featuring all my favorites characters in RDP: the CMCs, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie. Also, I'm going to be the voice of a character who is near and dear to y'all and new one to the Mentally Advanced Series: Dinky Doo - a filly with mommy issues.

There is a catch however, the episode is not airing until after the Tennessee Sweet Apple Acres con [link] in early July. We will be premiering the episode their at the con, so regardless of whether I finish it earlier than that then, that's when it's coming out rain or shine. So if y'all are going to the con, you'll get to see it first, and if you're not going to the con, well there's your incentive to go. That's several months away, so don't be scared when you don't see another RDP for a while.

Again tho, we have plenty of stuff we're going to have for y'all in the mean-time. It's possible we'll have more shorts and definitely some more songs!
Yup, that's right. Only 3 minutes left to animate, and I'm moving at a steady pace of a minute a day.
so I should be finishing up the core of the video in the next few days. Then there's my credit slide, the new intro graphic, and a surprise for after the credits.

It's coming soon guys! So very soon!!!

Also, in case you haven't seen it yet, check out our new forum! [link]

There's some great threads on there. The best one IMHO is 'Layers' under 'The Mentally Advanced Series'. Go check it out and contribute if you have the time!
I got the okay from Monstercat to post the new Album cover Friday. This is a cool one - probably the best one so far.

So be looking forward to that!
watch!!!! [link]
Finally after over a whole year of waiting, Greg's about to post another episode of The Mentally Advanced Series! Expect it up either tonight or tomorrow... or whenever Greg actually posts it. You never know with him...
